Huddersfield - 20 April 2012
A regional meeting of the AGFHS is to be held at Huddersfield Town Hall in Meeting Room 1 between 12.00-16.00pm.
Agenda:
As with the first meeting last year, there will be a 4 hour slot. The structure will be similar, starting with a speaker (as yet unconfirmed), followed by lunch. The plan is to make this meeting more sociable where people can move around and talk more easily after everyone was introduced last time. Richard will ask any one new to the group to introduce themselves and talk a bit about their research. The main theme of the meeting will be 'How Were They Received?' when our relatives first arrived in Britain.
Lunch:
This will not be provided but there will be some nibbles and drinks. Please bring along a packed lunch and maybe some biscuits to share around.

Transport:
If you are arriving by car, there is a Pay and Display multi-storey car park located on Alfred Street, almost opposite the Town Hall. Alternatively there is another Pay and Display above the Bus Station on Upperhead Row, although this is further away.
If you are arriving by train, the Town Hall is a walkable distance away, but there is a free bus from the station that does a circuit of the town centre. Get off at Stop 7 - Indoor Market. This bus also stops at the Bus Station. For a map of the bus route, visit:
